"Pet Buddy goes to school" program

"Pet Buddy goes to school" is an offer for school classes with their teachers, who want to experience the basics of animal welfare and how to become a friend of the pets.

On two days the pupils get an profund insight in how to keep and treat pets correctly and they learn about their needs and their body language.

The aim is that the pupils pass on their knowledge also to their friends and other colleagues at school, advocating animal welfare.

Schedule:

On the first day the pupils visit an animal shelter. Via interactive games they get to know dogs and cats and learn about a safe encounter with them.

On the second day the class visits the pet-park in the zoo Vienna. Here the pupils meet rabbits, guinea pigs and budgies and learn how to keep them correctly e.g. how to furnish a cage in an animal friendly way.

After the pupils completed the course they become "Friends of Pet Buddy" and receive a certificate.
Those children, who are particularly interested in the subject can continue by later completing the "Pet Buddy" course, which takes two full afternoons.
